The Brazil Initiative's own Dr. James N. Green recaps the political proceedings that lead up to Dilma Rousseff's effective suspension from the Presidency. Voting from Lower-House to Senate, along with the removal from office of former Speaker of the House Eduardo Cunha, all seemed to have contributed to the legitimacy of the impeachment proceedings making Rousseff's removal seem less like an arbitrary coup.
