Zainab Saleh is the author of Return to Ruin: Iraqi Narratives of Exile and Nostalgia (2020). Currently, she is working on a book entitled Uprooted Memories: Citizenship, Denaturalization, and Deportation in Iraq. Her work appeared in Arab Studies Journal, American Anthropologist, and Anthropology News.
