United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, or UNIFIL has been conducting Peacekeeping Operations to stop the conflict between Israel and Lebanon, and to prevent another one since the UN Security Council resolutions in 1978. UNIFIL, as one of the 13 current UN Peacekeeping missions, has evolved and expanded to meet the needs from various dimensions with its mandate amended. This talk will briefly introduce perspectives surrounding UNIFIL, which were observed by a South Korean peacekeeper as an intelligence analyst in 2018.
This event is part of the Human Security Seminar Series.
