Abdullah Chahin
Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Abdullah Chahin is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University Alpert School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Infectious Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Afterward, Dr. Chahin finished a second fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Brown University. He served as the associate program director for the Internal Medicine residency program at both Memorial Hospital of RI and Kent County Hospital. Dr. Chahin also holds a master’s degree in contemporary Islamic thinking and another master’s degree in data science from Indiana University.
Dr. Chahin is also the vice-chair of the board of directors of Amnesty International USA section and a board member since 2018. He has headed several non-governmental organizations that focused on human rights work and non-violence resistance in Syria. He is awarded the Homo Homini Award for the promotion of human rights and non-violence. He is currently researching the impact of violence on healthcare infrastructure and disaster readiness in conflict-stricken countries in the middle east.
