Cyril Bennouna
PhD Candidate in Political Science
Cyril is a doctoral student in the Department of Political Science at Brown. His research focuses on efforts to improve the wellbeing of populations affected by armed conflict. He is particularly interested in interventions aimed at preventing political, community, and family violence, strengthening civil society and local governance, and integrating forced migrants into their new societies. He is also a Senior Research Associate at the CPC Learning Network at Columbia University and has previously worked for the Program on Forced Migration and Health at Columbia, the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action, the International Trauma Studies Program, and the Center on Child Protection and Wellbeing at the University of Indonesia. He has a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science from the University of Michigan.
