CHRHS Visiting Scholars: Mark Ferullo, Amany Qaddour and Chiara Romano Bosch
Every year the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies Visiting Scholars Program brings leading academics and practitioners to the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs to engage with our community, conduct research, and provide mentorship and teaching to both undergraduate and graduate students.
This year the CHRHS has had the pleasure of hosting three Visiting Scholars: Mark Ferullo, Amany Qaddour and Chiara Romano Bosch. This past semester, each Visiting Scholar held discussions sharing their diverse expertise and have provided insight on research and shared their professional experiences with students. This upcoming semester students will have the opportunity to join a study group on Sanctions and Human Rights or another on the Protection of Civilians lead by several of the Visiting Scholars. Students interested in pursuing a career in humanitarian or human rights issues are encouraged to reach out to the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies and to apply for one of several paid internships that will take place this summer.
CHRHS Visiting Scholars can be academics on sabbatical, human rights or humanitarian practitioners working with local or international NGOs or UN agencies, or individuals working in relevant government agencies. We welcome both emerging and established scholars and practitioners whose research and practice are aligned with the Center’s priorities. For those interested in applying to be in being a CHRHS Visiting Scholar, please view the Program Description and the application for the 2023-2024 academic year.
