Providence Mayoral Candidates' Debate

In this post-primary debate, candidates for mayor of Providence -- Jorge Elorza, Buddy Cianci, and Daniel Harrop -- will face off on issues affecting the city of Providence and its residents. Topics will include everything for economic development and job creation to education and transportation. The debate will be moderated by Ross Cheit, Professor of Public Policy and Political Science at Brown. This event is funded by the Thomas J. Anton/Frederick Lippitt fund and the Paolino Speaker Series.

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required -- use this link.

Information for ticket holders:

  • Ticket holders will be asked to present a printed ticket and a photo ID (driver's license or Brown University ID) for admittance to the event.  The printed name on the ticket must match the photo ID presented.  Tickets are not transferable.
  • The auditorium will open at 6:15 pm for seating.  Ticketed guests are asked to arrive at the auditorium no later than 6:50 pm. After 6:50 pm, ticketed guests are no longer guaranteed seating.
  • Large bags (including backpacks), laptops, cameras, video cameras, and signs or sign making materials are not allowed in the auditorium.  Space inside the venue will NOT be available to store any of these items.  All bags are subject to check.
