Join us for Degree Day at the Taubman Center. Three Taubman alumni will share how their careers have developed since finishing their degrees at Brown. Come and hear their stories, ask questions, and enjoy a free lunch.

Speakers:

David Kopans '91  (Public Policy, Economics) is co-founder and Chief Financial Officer for GreenerU, an organization that partners with universities to bring about clean energy solutions. Today, he mentors teams in the MIT Ignite Clean Energy competition and is a member of the board of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA). Previously, Dave was chief financial officer for two publicly traded companies. He is a serial entrepreneur who has started, operated, and advised software, hardware, biotech, and clean-energy companies.

Dulari Tahbildar '00 (Public Policy, Urban Studies) is the executive director of Breakthrough Providence, which seeks to create a pathway to college for low-income students. Her work is centered on educational equity and social justice, particularly in low-income communities of color. She has worked in education and youth development organizations including The Brotherhood/Sister Sol, City Year National Headquarters, the Urban Institute, and the Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science. Dulari is a recipient of the Providence Business News 40 Under 40 award and a former board member of the Latino Policy Institute of Rhode Island.

Bradley Silverman '13 (Public Policy, Political Science, Economics) is a first-year student at Columbia Law School, where he serves at the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law and is vice organizational chair of the Civil Rights Law Society. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown with honors in Public Policy and American Institutions. At Brown, he received a Royce Fellowship and the Noah Krieger Prize for Academic Excellence.
