Jyoti Sharma will examine approaches to critical global environmental challenges, including management of vital resources such as water. Managing these challenges and resources — equitably and sustainably — requires economic, political, sociological, technical and environmental concerns to be addressed. Sharma will touch on numerous ideas generated by researchers across different disciplines at Brown that give critical pointers to possible solutions to some of the most pressing global threats to the environment.
Jyoti Sharma is the president of FORCE — an Indian nonprofit working for water security. She is in the second year of residency as a Taubman Fellow and Social Entrepreneur in Residence at Brown University's Swearer Center for Public Service.
