Emily Oster, professor of economics, said the healthcare benefits that come with the Finland-government provided maternity boxes to expectant mothers contributes to the country's low infant mortality rate. “What often comes along with the boxes is some additional contact with somebody. It may be the healthcare assistant, a nurse, a social worker."
