Bob Hackey, professor of health policy and management at Providence College, says the potential merger between CVS Health and Aetna could signal a major shift in both the insurance and pharmaceutical benefits industries. "This is a major change in terms of how CVS is going to interact with insurers," said Hackey. "There's an opportunity for CVS to direct Aetna patients to its stores. That's a lot of potential new customers."
