Alissa Simon

Noah Krieger '93 Memorial Intern

Class of 2025

Alissa is a rising senior concentrating in Political Science and Gender and Sexuality Studies. Outside of class, she works at the Brown Daily Herald and the Pembroke Center Archives and has previously interned at the Rhode Island House of Representatives and the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project. This summer, Alissa is working as an undergraduate intern at the Department of Justice Office of Legislative Affairs (OLA). At the OLA, she is responsible for tracking legislation relevant to the Department’s functions and ongoing investigations, preparing background research for congressional hearings, and attending briefings between Department officials and House and Senate staff.

Alissa is looking forward to learning more about the Department’s legislative priorities and the interplay between the executive and legislative branches of the federal government. She is excited to be back in D.C. working with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal interns as she continues to explore career pathways in government and public service.
