Join former three-term Massachusetts governor and 1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis, recently retired as a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University, for a wide-ranging conversation with Taubman Center Interim Director, Professor Richard Arenberg about what’s at stake in the 2020 election. 

Governor Dukakis will share his views on the presidential and congressional elections with special insights into how the global pandemic, the struggling economy, the rising demands for social justice, and the chaotic and unconventional  reign of the incumbent president increase the "ante."

Michael Dukakis served as the 65th governor of Massachusetts, from 1975 to 1979 and from 1983 to 1991. He is the longest-serving governor in Massachusetts history. He was the Democratic Nominee for President in the 1988 election.
