Kēhaulani Kauanui – Decolonization in Settler Colonial Context: Challenging the ‘Logic of Elimination of the Native

J. Kēhaulani Kauanui is Professor of American Studies and an affiliate faculty member in Anthropology at Wesleyan University, where she serves as the current Chair of the American Studies Department, and the current Director of the Center for the Americas. She also serves as co-producer and co-host of an anarchist radio program, “Anarchy on Air,” broadcast through WESU. She earned her PhD in History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2000. After transferring from community college (Irvine Valley) in 1989, she earned her B.A. in Women’s Studies at the University of California, Berkeley in 1992.
