Join us on Thursday, October 7th at 6 PM for a spooky movie night double feature! Meet us at the Revival Brewing Company’s outdoor space to watch two spooky 90’s classics: Hocus Pocus (1993) and Candyman (1992)! Tickets are being sold at a sliding scale rate from $15 to $100 (please give what you can!).
Earlier this summer, the Alliance to Mobilize Our Resistance (AMOR) hosted its first outdoor, in-person fundraising event since the pandemic started. Thank you to all who showed up to enjoy the movie while supporting AMOR’s work! We were so excited to bring folks together in a safer way, and we would love to see you at another movie night before the weather gets too cold. Funds raised at the movie night will go towards AMOR’s general operating costs. That means you will be supporting AMOR staff in continuing to carry out community organizing, direct support through case management, resource coordination, and administration of our current and ongoing initiatives. These initiatives include managing our 24-hour support line, coordinating and compensating our leadership committee of directly impacted community members, organizing to pass legislation for undocumented folks in RI and to shut down the Wyatt Detention Center, connecting folks with legal support for immigration cases, connecting folks with mental health support and community care, and organizing to defund the police.
