Bihar and Beyond: The 2015 Bihar Election and its Implications for Indian Politics

Neelanjan Sircar is a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Advanced Study of India (CASI), University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include Indian political economy and comparative political behavior with an eye to Bayesian statistics, causal inference, social network analysis, and formal methods. His current research at the CASI, 'A Tale of Two Villages: Kinship Networks and Political Preference in Rural India,' develops a theory on how voters form and change political preferences in democratic developing world contexts.
