Rajeev studies the intellectual trajectory of swaraj after Gandhi with a view to situate this in the traditions of Gandhian thought. His principal research has been archival. He was based out of academic institutions in New Delhi and Bengaluru to carry out this work. Rajeev is also interested in the intellectual and political thought of modern South Asia. His dissertation focuses on anticolonial ethics and revolution.
