Brown-India Initiative and the Department of English present Isabel Hofmeyr: "Gandhi's Printing Press"

Isabel Hofmeyr, Professor of African Literature at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, will present a talk entitled "Gandhi's Printing Press" on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 5:30 pm in the Department of English, 70 Brown Street, Room 315. Her talk will be taken from her new book, Gandhi's Printing Press: Experiments in Slow Reading (Harvard, 2013), which discusses Mahatma Gandhi's practices of reading, writing, and publishing, situating them in both his Indian nationalist career and his early South African context.
