Brown Faculty Welcomed at Jaipur Literature Festival

From January 18-23, 2017, Brown University Professors Ashutosh Varshney, Bhrigupati Singh and Prerna Singh were welcomed to the palaces of Jaipur, for what is now one of the largest literary festivals in the world. Over the last 10 years this annual event has hosted over 1,300 speakers and welcomed 1.2 million participants to it halls. On January 19th Bhrigupati Singh presented a panel, "The Quest for life," introduced by Ashutosh Varshney. He also commented on a second panel, "Traditions of Healing: Travels Through Indian Medicine," with Aarathi Prasad.  On January 21st, Prerna Singh's led a discussion, "On Disparity Among Indian States," with Ashutosh Varshney and Antara Ganguli to an audience of nearly 800 participants and which was streamed live.  Watch the video on youtube.  The full program is available on JLF's website
