Forthcoming: Varshney, Heller, Swaminathan, and Bertorelli to be published in Economic & Political Weekly

CCSA's director, Ashutosh Varshney and colleagues Patrick Heller (Brown University), Siddharth Swaminathan (Azim Premji Unviersity), and Ebony Bertorelli's (Janaagraha Center for Citizenship and Democracy) paper, Does Citizenship Abate Class?  Evidence and Reflections from Bangalore, is forthcoming in India's leading peer-reviewed social science journal, Economic & Political Weekly. The paper explores the quality of urban citizenship, drawing on data from a large household survey in Bangalore, India.
