PhD Candidate in Political Science, Rehan Jamil's op-ed, "Rethinkng Pakistan's Welfare System After Covid-19" was published in Pakistan's leading English language daily, the Dawn, on May 23rd, 2020. Jamil and co-author, Kabeer Dawani, discuss the Benazir Income Support Programme's response to the crisis are argue that although it is a great step in Pakistan's limited welfare architecture, it will be insuffient without additiional public policy measures.
