2022 Project Title: Reimagining within-movement conflict: Ideology and the anti-sex trafficking movement
2018 Project Title: Local-Global Connections: Global Governance and the Indian Anti-Sex Trafficking Movement
Jocelyn's exploratory research will focus on developing a relationship through participant observation with an anti-sex trafficking non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO). This organization headquartered in New Delhi has offices throughout India and one in the United States. Jocelyn will supplement the participant observation with interviews with key anti-sex trafficking experts, professionals, and NGOs in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. This project will begin my exploration of how local, national, and transnational sociopolitical contexts each influence and shape the other as policy (here, anti-sex trafficking policy) is translated through each level and as NGOs create networks within and between each level.
