Salman Rushdie is the author of fourteen novels: GrimusMidnight’s Children (which was awarded the Booker Prize in 1981) and a noted political figure for his surrealist and allegorical portrayals of religious issues. Rushdie is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
