Professor Faiz Ahmed published his latest article in a recent issue of Law and History Review, the academic journal of the American Society for Legal History. The article, “Courts and Constitutions in South Asia and the Global South: A View from the Middle East” can be found here, with a personal dedication to Brown undergraduate John Owen Habib (2002-2023) found at the end of the article. John Owen was a student in Professor Ahmed’s Fall 2022 HIST 0244 Understanding the Middle East course. He passed away after a tragic accident in April 2023.
