2016-2017 Tinker Field Research Grant Recipients

May 23, 2016

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) at Brown University is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016-2017 Tinker Foundation Field Research Grants.

The 2016-2017 Field Research Grants have been awarded to 14 graduate students across eight departments. The funding will help support their pre-dissertation fieldwork in Latin America and the Caribbean, providing them a valuable opportunity to acquire comprehensive knowledge of language and culture, familiarize themselves with information sources relevant to their studies, conduct preliminary research, and develop contacts in their respective fields. This, in turn, will enhance the feasibility of their projects and the competitiveness of subsequent proposals for external funding in support of their dissertation research.
