Graduate Student Opportunities

CLACS contributes to graduate education and training at Brown by supporting students' development through courses and events and providing funding for summer fieldwork in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as dissertation fellowships.

CLACS Sawyer Seminar on Race and Indigeneity in the Americas

Brown University has received a $225,000 award from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support a Sawyer Seminar on the Comparative Study of Cultures, organized by CLACS. The initiative, titled “Race and Indigeneity in the Americas,” will take place over the 2018-2019 academic year.
