This Institute focused on the scholarly field of entrepreneurship and its potential application to business and academic contexts in the developing world, focusing on technology entrepreneurship and its intersection with both technology innovation and development economics.

MARY FENNELL

Professor of Sociology and Health Services Policy and Practice at Brown University. Areas of research include formal organizations, health care organizations, professional work and changes in professional careers and professional organizations over time.

ANGUS KINGON

Professor of Engineering at Brown University. Dr. Kingon currently leads research projects on ferroelectric and high permittivity thin films,advanced materials for MEMS switches, integrated passive components, frequency agile dielectric materials and devices, and thermoelectric materials.

MARK SUCHMAN

AB Harvard 1983; JD Yale 1989; PhD Stanford 1994; Professor of Sociology at Brown University. Professor Suchman's research interests center on the relationship between law, innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly in the information technology, nanotechnology, and healthcare sectors.
