Levi Thompson is Assistant Professor of Arabic in the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he teaches courses on modern Middle Eastern literatures and cultures. Levi is currently working on a book manuscript tentatively titled Re-Orienting Modernism: Mapping a Modernist Geography Across Arabic and Persian Poetry. He has published articles in the journals Middle Eastern Literatures, Transnational Literature, Alif, and College Literature and his translations of poetry from the Middle East have appeared in Jadaliyya, Transference, Inventory, and elsewhere.
